Negative Churn

If you use the calculations from Churn Rate (Less Simple) and your monthly recurring revenue (MRR) churn rate is negative, congratulations, you have negative churn. You’ll also hear this referred to as “net negative churn.”

Negative churn is achieved when you generate more expansion MRR (cross-sell, upsell, seat expansion) from existing customers than churned MRR (including downgrades).
